In this role, Minardi will drive the company’s partner engagement strategy, working with both public and private entities - including large corporations, industry associations, non-profit organizations and international groups - to build awareness of and opportunity for technology apprenticeships. Minardi will also be responsible for managing BuildWithin’s brand, marketing, and external affairs’ efforts.

BuildWithin, a venture-backed technology company and U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) approved Apprenticeship Intermediary, has added Keely O’Brien to its leadership team as Vice President, National Programs. In this role, O’Brien will be responsible for directing BuildWithin’s efforts to generate awareness and expansion of apprenticeships and upskilling programs in the US. O’Brien will initially focus on five Apprenticeship Innovation Hubs: Washington, D.C./Maryland, Northern Virginia, Chattanooga and Hamilton County, TN, Los Angeles County and Sacramento/Northern CA. Establishing these hubs are part of BuildWithin’s charge as the recipient of a $7.9 million grant from the Apprenticeship Building America program, which was created to strengthen, modernize, expand and diversify the DOL’s Registered Apprenticeship Programs to enable more workers to find reliable pathways into the tech world.

Hamilton County – Chattanooga has been selected as one of only five Apprenticeship Innovation Districts (AID) in the country by BuildWithin, a new national apprenticeship intermediary approved by the U.S. Department of Labor. Working closely with Hamilton County Mayor Weston Wamp, Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly, Hamilton County Schools Superintendent Dr. Justin Robertson, the Benwood Foundation and Chattanooga 2.0, BuildWithin will build the capacity of Chattanooga businesses to create and grow Registered Apprenticeship and Youth Apprenticeship Programs, which provide pathways for local residents to "earn while they learn" and ultimately move into fulfilling and high-demand careers.
BuildWithin Launches With $2.4 M in Pre-Seed Funding and $8M in Government Grants to Help Employers Create, Manage & Expand Apprenticeship and Upskilling Programs
BuildWithin, a software platform that provides employers with the ability to create and manage apprenticeship and workplace training programs, launches today with $2.4 million in pre-seed funding led by Dundee Venture Capital with participation from Black Capital, an early-stage fund focused on investing in underrepresented founders. BuildWithin’s new funding also includes roughly $8M in government grants.
